Lash Lift & Tint: Your Complete Guide
A lash lift and tint is one of the most transformative low-maintenance beauty treatments available. By curling and lifting your natural lashes from the root and adding a rich tint, it creates the appearance of longer, fuller, more defined lashes — without extensions, without mascara, and without the daily maintenance. At The Skin Clinic Essex, we use premium products to deliver results that last up to 8 weeks.
What Is a Lash Lift?
A lash lift is a semi-permanent treatment that uses a chemical solution to reshape your natural lashes around a silicone rod, curling them upward from the root. Unlike lash extensions, which add artificial lashes, a lash lift works entirely with your own lashes to create a naturally curled, wide-eyed effect. The treatment is combined with a tint to add colour and definition, making lashes appear darker and more prominent.
What Does the Treatment Involve?
The treatment takes approximately 60 minutes. Your lashes are cleansed, then a silicone shield is placed on the eyelid. A lifting solution is applied to reshape the lashes, followed by a setting solution to lock the curl in place. A tint is then applied for added depth and definition. The process is relaxing and completely painless — many clients fall asleep during treatment.
How Long Do Results Last?
Results typically last 6–8 weeks, depending on your natural lash growth cycle. As your lashes naturally shed and regrow, the lifted effect gradually softens. Most clients book a top-up every 6–8 weeks to maintain their results.
Aftercare
For the first 24 hours after treatment, keep your lashes dry and avoid steam, swimming, and eye makeup. After 24 hours, you can wear mascara and eye makeup as normal. Using a lash serum can help nourish your lashes and extend the life of your lift.
